Feta and Olive Turnovers with a Kourou Dough
Feta and Olive Turnovers with a Kourou Dough
  • Preheat oven to 180* C (350* F) Fan.
  • Sift the flour in to a bowl. Make a well in the center and add all of the ingredients for the dough.
  • Knead until you create a soft dough.
  • To make the filling combine the feta, olives and a generous amount of freshly ground pepper in a bowl.
  • Pick out walnut sized balls of dough and roll them out in to small circles.
  • Add a tablespoon of the filling to each circle and brush the edges with water.
  • Fold each circle in half to cover the filling and press the edges together with a fork to seal.
  • Transfer to a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush with the lightly beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
