- 400 g granulated sugar
- 200 g apple cider vinegar
- 800 g apples, peeled and cut into 2x2 cm cubes ( ½ red apples, ½ green apples)
- 250 g onions, cut into slices
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 2 pinches of salt

- Heat a deep pot over medium to low heat.
- Add the sliced onion, sugar, apple cider vinegar, apples, curry powder and 2 pinches of salt,
- Lower heat to low and cook for about 1 hour, until the apples soften but not until they fall apart. You want the cubes of apple to keep their shape. Stir every 8-10 minutes with a wooden spoon.
- You will know the chutney is ready when the mixture thickens and resembles the texture of marmalade.
