Watermelon sorbet

Watermelon sorbet

Method

  • Make a syrup by adding the water, sugar and lemon zest in a saucepan.
  • Place over heat, bring to a boil and stir until the sugar melts.
  • Set it aside to cool.
  • Cut the watermelon flesh into small pieces.
  • Transfer to a blender, add the syrup and beat until you have a smooth, creamy mixture.
  • Transfer to a container and place in freezer for 2-3 hours.
  • The sorbet needs to stay at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with watermelon cut into cubes.
