Special Christmas Meals!

Christmas is here! Time to get together with family, friends and loved ones… and gather around a table for a wonderful meal.

I’ve prepared 3 different Christmas menus… I’ve also set the table for you the way I imagined would be the perfect setting for each type of menu… according to the types and style of the dishes…

I thought I’d start off with a more traditional meal first :

Stuffed Leg of Lamb with Artichokes and Pecorino

Spicy Pear and Ginger Tart

Roast Apple Cider Chicken with Estragon

Potato and Vegetable Au Gratin

Familiar flavors, apart from the roast chicken with apple cider, possibly. It is a superb rustique French dish that I really love!  I cannot stress how much I want you all to try the potato and vegetable au gratin, which I really find magical! It will really stand out and everyone will be badgering you for the recipe!

Of course I feel the table setting should be in red and gold. Pull out your fine crystal serving glasses and your beautiful cutlery you save for special occasions…

I thought I’d go a little more minimal for the second meal, with recipes that are a little different, beautiful and of course delicious! I would recommend it for a gathering of friends or family that like to try different types of food and not necessarily where there will be children. Invite those who are interested in high quality ingredients and quick and modern dishes that will impress.

The recipes are :

Citrus Salad with Hazelnuts

Spicy Apple Chutney that is perfect with an assortment of cheeses.

Steak Tartare

Yes, I know.. raw meat and raw eggs.. It is a dish for a selected few but I urge you to try it… just make sure you use very high quality meat and tasty fresh eggs.

Now, as far as table setting and decorating, I believe it should be simple and understated… white with silver, simple decorations made out of organic materials…

And finally.. we come to the third meal… I believe I may surprise you all my good friends! This is a menu for those who really watch their diets and for people who don’t eat meat…

I’ve got some great recipes here though :

Spicy Carrot Dip

Healthy Salad with Grilled Kale and Greek Pita Bread

Mandarin and Pomegranate Cake

Roasted Eggplant Soup

I think I’ve got you all covered! Recipes that are flavorful, delicious and different for everyone… for all kinds of tastes… They are all worth trying!

Also make the table even prettier by adding fresh fruit, branches and fresh flowers!

I hope you try all of the recipes and I hope you are impressed and love them all!!

As always.. I look forward to getting all of your pictures!
