How do you like celebrating New Year’s? Like royalty or a little more casual? Do you have enough time to prepare for these days and look for smart and effective ideas and solutions (with guaranteed results!).
Following you will find 3 different ways to celebrate and a whole menu depending on how you like to celebrate the holidays. Which type are you? Let’s take a look…
Type #1: «Like royalty»
You want everything perfect! You don’t care how much time you need to dedicate to planning it all just as long as it all turns out as you imagined. This is why you start planning everything early on… the menu, the guest list, the decorations… Do you need help? I’m here for you! I can’t help you as far as your guest list and decorations go.. but! I can offer you unique ideas for your menu that will thrill everyone who gathers around your table! I am, of course, referring to a complete 5 course menu (including dessert) which I promise will not leave anyone wanting for more. You will find alternatives for each and every dish so that you can choose the one that is best suited to your specific tastes and the tastes you know will totally satisfy your guests and loved ones!
Let’s start off with a wonderful soup that will sooth your stomach and get it ready to welcome the rest of the feast that is yet to come One of my favorite ones are Velvet mushroom soup.
Another great choice is the Citrus salad with hazelnuts.
Next up? Your appetizer! Stuffed portobello mushrooms. A special treat, especially for those who love mushrooms…
…and Chicken pot pies that are great for our young friends.
If you prefer a menu based on fish, you can choose to make Bruschetta with goat cheese and salmon. You can find evertything you need to make them here.
Another wonderful choice would be the Mocha meringue roulade. If you have enough time you can make both!! ;-)
Type #2: «I don’t have time for anything»
Do you work from morning till night? Do you have thousands of things to do during the day and you don’t have time for anything else? Does your day generally seem to have just a few hours and you don’t know what to do first? Despite this fact, do you still like the idea to invite all of your favorite people over and cook something.. simple but tasty? I got you! Believe me when I say… I’ve got you covered!
A wonderful celebratory meal that won’t take you longer than 1 HOUR and 15 MINUTES to make! The secret is all in the organizing… good organizing! You start off with the main course… Put the Roast apple cider chicken with estragon in the oven and use the 40 minutes it takes to roast it, to make the appetizer, salad and dessert!
You should make the dessert second so that you can get it out the way and its smooth sailing from there on! Chocolate praline mousse in 5 minutes. Yes it’s really true! It just takes 5 minutes to make, while its flavor will last all night :-)
Now you can enjoy making the Smoked ham and salami bruschetta, that won’t take longer than 15 minutes to make. As soon as that’s done, all you have to do is make the salad, which you should prepare at the very last minute so that it’s nice and fresh… Salad on the mandolin. The secret for this salad is the mandolin but also in the beautiful colorful vegetables that will help you create the most celebratory (and tasty!) holiday salad!
Type #3: «After midnight party»
Do you get bored with the idea of people sitting around a table eating? Do you prefer to have people over in a little livelier setting… a little more like a party but with things to munch on and quite a bit of dancing? Would you like to do all of this after 12.00 at night so that everyone gets a chance to have dinner with their relatives and then come over and really let lose at your place! NO problem! Following you will find a list of super tasty Finger Food, which is perfect for your type of celebration…
However you choose to spend these holidays, anything you make, anyway you choose to make it and no matter whatever “type” you are… I wish you the most wonderful, magical New Year’s Eve you ever had!!!
