Great ideas for tasty homemade snacks!

Time flies! It’s already the end of the school year and time for…. VACATION!! Time to change our daily schedules. The only thing that doesn’t really change is the need for snacks!

When kids are not in school, they play, run around more and generally exert much more energy. They need to replenish all of this energy they exert… which means a lot more munching and snacking!

Most adults keep away from snacks or small meals in between lunch and dinner, since they are considered unhealthy and a major cause in weight gain. Quite the opposite is true though. Snacks and small meals are actually very healthy and is a good dietary practice that should be taught from a young age.

Homemade snacks… just like homemade food should be your preferred choice. It is always better and healthier than ready-made foods.

Try making homemade snacks and eating along with your kids. An even better idea is to ask for their help in the kitchen!

I’d like to offer a few ideas for snacks that are great for any time of day. In the house, on the beach, at the playground and even for vacation! Great, healthy, tasty snacks for the whole family!
