Pork chops with quick apple chutney

Pork chops with quick apple chutney

Method

For the chutney

  • In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients for the chutney.
  • Transfer the mixture into a glass bowl and refrigerate.

For the pork chops

  • With a fork, prick the chops at many spots on each side.
  • Add them into a bowl along with the orange juice and the soy sauce. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the pork chops from the marinade (which you throw away), add salt, pepper, and sauté them in a grill pan.
  • Cover with the lid and cook the pork chops at medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • Flip them over, spread the chutney over their surface, and cook for 10 more minutes with the lid closed.
  • Remove them from the heat and allow 5 minutes for them to cool.
  • Serve with extra chutney and fresh oregano.

Tip

The particular chutney is exquisite because, in contrast with most ones, it does not need cooking!
