Eggs, berries, flaxseed, and cottage cheese! Why are they good for our body? I will tell you right away:
Eggs are a complete food, rich in protein and nutrients. They contain phosphorus, calcium, iron, zinc, selenium, iodine, vitamin D, and many of the B-complex vitamins. In addition, due to their antioxidant action, they seem to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in healthy adults.
Berries (blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries) are rich in antioxidants and fiber, but low in calories. The antioxidants they contain help protect against oxidative stress and protect the body from damage that can be caused by free radicals, while fiber contributes to normal bowel function.
Flaxseed is rich in magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, and manganese. It contains Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, α-linolenic acid, lignans and is high in protein. It even seems to help prevent some chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.
Cottage cheese is low in calories and high in protein. It has 103 calories in 100 g and because of the protein it contains, it makes us feel full for longer. At the same time, it is often consumed by people who exercise, since the protein helps replenish muscle glycogen and "build" muscle mass.
