Where does it come from?

The melon is considered by some to have come from South Africa and by others from Asia. The word melon in Greek is called “peponi” and comes from the ancient Greek word “pepon” meaning ripe, mellow, soft.

When should it be planted

It should be planted from March to May and it is collected and consumed from 3-5 months later.

Climate

The melon loves open land and soil with very good drainage. It prefers seasons without frost and needs intense sunlight.
